Michele is a partner in the Firm’s Bankruptcy, Workout and Restructuring practice group.  As a bankruptcy litigator, Michele has experience representing debtors-in-possession, secured and unsecured creditors, ad hoc creditor groups, landlords, and chapter 7 trustees in complex Chapter 11 and 7 bankruptcy cases, bankruptcy-related federal and state litigations, and other distressed and insolvency-related situations.  Prior to joining the Firm, Michele spent 15 years at a large Manhattan law firm, where she gained extensive bankruptcy and litigation experience.

Michele earned her law degree summa cum laude from Hofstra University in 2006, where she attended on a Full Merit Scholarship, served as an Associate Editor of the Hofstra University Law Review and was a member of the Dean’s List.  She received her Bachelor of Arts degrees magna cum laude from the State University of New York at Binghamton in 2003, where she double majored in English and Philosophy, Politics and Law, was an active member of the Delta Phi Epsilon Sorority, and was a member of the Dean’s List, Phi Beta Kappa National Honor Society, Golden Key International Honor Society and Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society.  Michele is extremely active in her community, volunteering for and serving on boards and committees related to her children’s schools and activities.   

Michele is admitted to practice in the States of New York and New Jersey, the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the District of New Jersey, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
